About April Moon Creations

I am a Canadian artist living in Liverpool who creates eco-friendly, useful items. I love using upcycled fabric and finding new ways to cut down on the use of plastic in my household. I’m currently making bags and wraps for the kitchen, tote bags, face masks + little bags to keep them in and bucket hats 🙂

Washable Food Bags

Washable and durable, these bags are perfect for replacing ziplock bags and plastic wrap in the kitchen 🙂 The bags are all handmade using upcycled fabric on the outside and lined with water-resistant, certified food-safe PUL. They work great for fruit slices, cut vegetables, berries, nuts and cookies. I usually use mine to store leftovers in the fridge such as cucumber slices or 1/2 and avocado. I recommend just wiping them with soapy water to wash but I’ve had mine in the machine quite a few times over the past 18 months and they’re totally fine 🙂 Do not tumble dry or microwave. * PUL Fabric PUL fabric is a lightweight polyester fabric paired with a special thin stretchy plastic film. I use Prosoft PUL which is CPSIA certified food-safe fabric, water-resistant, very durable and totally eco-friendly and safe to use! The process used to make Prosoft PUL emits no toxic waste or VOCs that are harmful to the environment and is manufactured with no harmful chemicals or finishes. Washable Food Wraps

These cute washable wraps are perfect for taking a sandwich for lunch and replacing ziplock bags and plastic wrap in the kitchen The wraps are all handmade using upcycled fabric on the outside and lined with water-resistant, certified food-safe PUL. They work great for sandwiches, wraps, rolls and cookies and can be used as a placemat while eating. I often use mine to wrap up leftovers in the fridge. They have velcro closings which I have left longer on one side to make the size more adjustable. I recommend just wiping them with soapy water to wash but I’ve had mine in the machine quite a few times over the past 18 months and they’re totally fine 🙂 Do not tumble dry or microwave and if for some reason you feel the need to iron them, do it on the fabric side. PUL Fabric PUL fabric is a lightweight polyester fabric paired with a special thin stretchy plastic film.
