For over 35 years I have enjoyed watching or being in the waves of Cornwall, as they crash in from the Atlantic. Fistral Beach is the home of surfing in Britain. One of the best surfing beaches, it regularly holds the biggest surfing competitions in the UK. Long before surfing became a leisure pursuit, the Victorians appreciated the beauty of the Cornish Coast. The Headland Hotel was opened in 1900 and has featured as a location for several films, including Roald Dahl's The Witches!
