Katherine Toms is an Illustrator and designer from Cornwall, United Kingdom, she is a recent University graduate who has just finished her degree in Printed textile design. Cornwall is surrounded by the coast and nature, hence Katherine’s need to promote the importance of the environment and wildlife through her art. A wide range of digital and traditional mediums make up her designs from Matisse inspired cut-outs to detailed pencil drawings that she sometimes merges together to create prints full of colour and experimentation, as all of this can all be found in nature due to the abundance of textures and species found in nature around the world. Through her illustrations and prints, Katherine hopes to bring attention to endangered species from land, sea and sky, who without change and activism will be lost in yesterday.
