Cards made from compostable paper featuring designs by artist Lucy Webster. The ‘paper’ stock used is handmade using post-consumer recycled cotton and is impregnated with wildflower seeds, this combination allows the card to be planted into soil after it has served its’ purpose. Reducing waste and providing wildflowers for the bees and butterflies, what could be better!? Instructions for planting are printed on the back of each card: - soak the card in water and tear into small pieces. - fill a pot with compost and place the torn paper on top. Sprinkle a little compost over the top, just enough to cover the paper - don’t worry if some of the paper still peeks through, it’s better to have too little as too much can restrict growth. - Ensure the pot is watered regularly, don’t let the compost dry out but also don’t saturate it as too much will damage the seeds. - Place the pot in an area where sun and warmth is plentiful and watch your wildflowers grow! Each card comes pre-folded and with its own recycled kraft paper envelope. All cards are left blank inside for you to write your own personal message. Range of sizes and designs. Hand-drawn pet portraits by Lucy Webster. Each portrait takes between 20-60+ hours depending on size and subject. The portraits are produced using the high-quality materials including pencils from top artist brands Derwent, Caran d’Ache and Faber-Castell, and eco-friendly 280gsm agave paper from Hahnemuhle. The combination of lightfast coloured pencils and archival fine art paper produce a finished product that will last for many years to come, the perfect way to treasure your beloved companion. Lucy’s main aim is to capture the unique character and true essence of every subject she draws, after all that’s what makes our pets such special parts of the family! Many previous clients have commented on how lifelike their pets look in the drawing compared to a simple photograph. There are sizes and prices to suit a range of budgets with the current size options being: 6x6 inch, 8x8 inch, 6x8 inch (A5), 8x12 inch (A4) and 12x16 inch (A3). Custom sizes are also accepted and gift certificates can be purchased from as little as £25.
