About Renew2Reuse

I am currently living in Lincolnshire, however am originally from Kent and moved to the Orkney Islands in 2008 where my husband and I ran a small holding and holiday letting business, the latter we started from scratch. I found recycling and reusing was a necessity not a hobby, not because of the lack of things to buy on the island but because of the time it took to get it there.

This turned into a hobby trying different techniques, making candles from almost used wax, decorating old wooden boxes, hand painting wooden plaques, using jars and bottles. I got involved in the busy crafting scene in Orkney plying my wares to the tourists, visitors and many of the residence.

I cannot see anything go to waste, with my neighbour’s and friends supporting me by popping bits round for me to use. I love seeing something that would be thrown away being turned into something that can be used and useful. I am still experimenting with many ideas and techniques so if anyone has any that they feel I may enjoy, please let me know, I am always looking for different ways to use things.
