About The Bee Centre

The Bee Centre is the UK centre of excellence for sustainable and ethical beekeeping.
Our award-winning Bee experience provides a 90-minute immersion into the world of the honeybee. This engaging, educational and memorable event has received exceptional feedback. Voucher are available which make a thoughtful and unusual gift.
As a by-product of the environmental activities, our clever bees produce limited quantities of unprocessed, pure honey from hives around Lancashire and North Wales. This natural foodstuff provides amazing health benefits and tastes gorgeous too. More information about the health benefits of honey can be found on our website.
We also sell other hive beeswax candles and other bee-themed gifts alongside a wide range of beekeeping courses and equipment.
Our main interest is enhancing our environment by increasing biodiversity and breeding our locally adapted honeybees, based on the native black bee.
At our Visitor Centre near Preston/Chorley visitors can see honeybees up-close and in complete safety via our specially built, glass, indoor hive. They can also taste real honey and enjoy talks from our expert staff and beekeepers.

Our award-winning 'Bee Experience' provides a 90 minute immersion into the world of the honeybee. Help our Head Beekeeper to open up and inspect a hive. Get hands-on with our happy and well behaved honeybees. Includes honey tasting session. This engaging, educational and memorable event has received exceptional feedback and makes a thoughtful and unusual gift. Vouchers are now available to use in 2021.
