The Lakes Distillery

An exceptional diversion from our sherry-led house style, The Whiskymaker's Editions, Colheita, is a one-off whisky release showcasing the sense of adventure of our whiskymaker in cask selection, maturation and blending. An expression of creative freedom, each Edition is the product of a playground where instinct, experience and inspiration roam free, coming together to realise our intrinsic objective – the creation of outstanding flavours. In this expression, the whiskymaker’s cask and maturation expertise bring Colheita Port into the frame, in combination with a small proportion of bourbon barrels, offering a nose that is vibrant and fruity with hints of plums, spiced pickled cherries and candied orange; the palate is complex with notes of prunes, stewed plums and warming cinnamon with a lasting finish.

We elevate the flavour of our gin by using only a select few botanicals gently infused in the finest British wheat spirit and distilled in our traditional copper pot still. By steeping the botanicals overnight like loose-leaf tea, they interact freely with the warm spirit to encourage the essential oils to release more slowly, protecting their delicate nature. The traditional copper pot still then runs slow and long to extract the maximum amount of flavour. The end result? A classic English gin with vibrant notes of juniper, cracked black pepper and orange peel. Gently distilled with the luxury of time for exceptional smoothness.

Inspired by The Lakes Gin’s signature G&T serve, the new Pink Grapefruit Gin celebrates the role the fruit plays as our preferred garnish. Beautifully balanced, at 46% ABV, distinctively zesty pink grapefruit vigour meets the resounding juniper notes of the classic Lakes Gin; bursting with uplifting citrus notes and refreshingly tangy pink grapefruit flavour.

Crowned the 'World's Best Vodka' at the 2019 World Vodka Awards, this ultra-smooth English vodka retains the characteristics of the finest British wheat for a sweeter, more rounded flavour. Distilled just once with the luxury of time in our bespoke copper pot still to preserve the flavour characteristics of the finest British wheat, using only the purest water from our Lake District National Park home in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
