About The Purbeck Cider Company
Nestled on the Jurassic coastline, The Purbeck Cider Company was born in 2006 after Joe returned from travelling New Zealand to decide that Dorset finally deserved to have its own cider and apple juice produced from some of its long forgotten traditional trees. Our first orchards were planted back in 2008, laying the foundations on which the Purbeck Cider Company is built. The 200 year living trees will stand prominently on our family farm in the heart of the Isle of Purbeck for future generations to enjoy traditional Dorset born Dorset bred cider and apple juice.
Using nothing but fresh air and these beautiful apples Joe has been labouring away in the shadow of the historical Corfe Castle for well over a decade now to ever improve the naturally delicious and mouth-watering nectar of Dorset ciders and apple juices. With the recent addition of our second orchard in the Isle of Purbeck we now have 6000 more trees that will produce delicious Dorset apples for pressing in the future. Our dedication and commitment was recognised in late 2018 when we won ‘Best Cider Producer’ at the Taste of Dorset awards, an achievement we are very proud of.
