1… Unique and Needful Things

Unique and needful things would like to present our Glass Rainbow Sun-Catcher. We have several designs, this one is a framed semi-circle, 20cm across and placed within a solid oak support formed to add that extra design element and engineered to be equilateral with the glass (please see others within our range). Made from hand blown glass, cut freehand with a variety of different vibrant glasses (all conforming to the traditional 7 rainbow colours). Each element is copper foiled then soldered together. The pattern on surfaces or floors as the light shines through is, as the images show, vibrant and eye catching whilst offering bit of fun for kids to look out for (if hung in the front windows) and the hope it represents too. As glass is hand blown, there may be free bubbles (no extra charge for these!), difference in texture and colour all adding to the fact that everyone is Unique. To add to this, should you wish the same design but your own colours, contact us and we’ll be more than happy to discuss your requirements. At Unique and Needful Things, we love to combine wood art (Pyrography) around vibrant coloured glass and this piece of art is no different. This one depicts a Cat reaching up towards a dragonfly that flies above flowers (cat owners will now how theirs will inevitably chase anything that moves!), stood in a Teak base with a vibrant graduated Rainbow made from cut glass, copper foiled and soldered together. Bringing spectacular rays of light hitting the surfaces they touch and move with the sun. Whether for yourself or as a gift for a loved one, Standing approximately 30cm wide x 47cm high, this one off ‘Unique’ artwork will make a great conversation piece as well as decorating any home day or night. Our range of Window Corner Suncatchers can be hung from either top right, top left or centre (designed supporting string allows hanging in either scenario). Remove the string and they sit equally nicely on a window sill. Made from vibrant coloured glass, copper foiled then soldered to create a wonderful design that will bring spectacular rays of light hitting the surfaces they touch and move with the sun. This one focuses on Red with Yellow surround but there other colours to choose from. These Trellis, Plant tubs, Seat combination allows you to sit and pick grapes, smell your flowers or create your own story as we give you the platform to work from to enjoy your outdoor space while giving some extra style to it too. Handmade from Treated timber and Decking boards so they can sit out in the elements all year round. Standing 180cm high, 180cm wide and 40cm deep with the tubs coming in from the edge 30cm to give 120cm seating area (6’x6’x16”, tubs 1’, Seating 4’).
