This is an eco-friendly hand made wooden guinea pig house / hide / castle - simply slots together to pop up, then folds flat for storage, no nasty glues or nails required. Unlike some other houses the component pieces are 9mm thick, and very sturdy and would take some getting through if your pet is prone to chewing! The house measures approx 30 cm x 30 cm x 19 cm high when assembled, there are 4 sturdy side pieces - a door (14 cm wide x 14 cm high) and three sides. All pieces slot together easily, then can be unslotted for packing away when not needed. Flat roof so they can jump on top. Handy for when you need some extra indoor entertainment for your little friend, if you’re anything like us, you end up with loads of big toys you need to store this is the ideal solution! You can just pop this behind the couch, or in a cupboard out of sight when not required. It measures 30 x 28 x 4.5 cm when 5 pieces are packed flat. Made from FSC certified Birch ply (FSC C009096 responsible forestry), Carb2 compliant meaning there is very low formaldehyde content in the glue line (lower than European standards) and therefore safer than ordinary ply. Wood was purchased from a supplier with a responsible purchasing policy and certified to ISO14001 - Environmental management standard that governs how an organisation minimises any negative impact to the environment and only handles and sells certified plywood. EN636 -2, EN314-2, Class 3 As it is made from sturdy 9mm birch ply, there may occasionally be minor imperfections which is not unusual with ply and simply adds character. I can replace windows with blank panels if you don’t want side windows. I can also personalise with a short name on the blank panel if you select the personalised option. It’s a light wood so suitable for painting (with animal friendly paint), or treating to make it weatherproof. I can also supply additional panels for extra cost e.g. an extra door panel to create a tunnel, as all panels can be swapped around. Larger versions are also available.
